RMC’s engineers and planners work closely with our CEQA/NEPA specialists to provide in-house technical analysis to support the CEQA/NEPA process.
CEQA
RMC has project managers and principals with experience completing environmental documentation under the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA), including Categorical Exemptions, Initial Studies, Negative or Mitigated Negative Declarations, Environmental Impact Reports, and mitigation monitoring and reporting programs. We also provide alternatives screening and evaluation, environmental constraints analysis, and public/stakeholder coordination. Every environmental document is adopted through specific procedural steps, and failure to properly manage the CEQA process can compromise even the most technically solid document. RMC sets a clear strategy and schedule, identifies key milestones, manages agenda deadlines, and performs necessary distributions and postings.
NEPA
RMC has project managers and principals with experience completing environmental documentation under the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA), including Categorical Exclusions, Environmental Assessments, Environmental Impact Statements, Findings of No Significant Impact, and Mitigation Action Plans. We help agencies and stakeholders analyze the environmental effects of a project and potential impacts to social, cultural, economic, and natural resources. NEPA documents are often prepared as joint NEPA/CEQA documents and RMC works with the local and federal agency to coordinate environmental services. We work with a NEPA lead agency to establish a clear strategy and schedule, identify key milestones, manage deadlines, and assist with necessary distributions and postings.
