John has 14 years of experience designing wastewater treatment facilities, Title 22 water reclamation facilities, water and recycled water pipelines, water treatment plants, and recreational water features. He is currently managing design of a centralized sewer collection and treatment system for Malibu and working on development of a plan to maximize recycling at the Hyperion, Terminal Island, and Los Angeles-Glendale Treatment Plants as part of Los Angeles’ water recycling master plan. John has also managed design of a 3-mgd expansion of Coachella’s wastewater treatment plant, and designed a retrofit of the dissolved air flotation system at the Sunnyvale Water Pollution Control Plant. He has a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from California Polytechnic State University and a master’s degree in engineering geology from Cornell University.
