Samantha Salvia has more than 10 years of experience as a civil engineer specializing in water resources planning and environmental analysis. While a principal engineer at the Contra Costa Water District, she led a project to build a new drinking water intake in the Delta. Samantha has managed technical analyses and environmental documentation for some of California’s most challenging water resources projects—as both a consultant and in a public agency setting. With a technical background in modeling combined with practical experience in environmental review and permitting, she is able to provide a bridge between engineering and environmental teams. Samantha holds a master’s degree in civil and environmental engineering from Stanford University with an emphasis in environmental fluid mechanics and hydrology. She also has bachelor’s degrees from Oxford University and Old Dominion University.
