Marilyn has a master’s degree in environmental engineering from Stanford University and 32 years of experience in the design and construction of wastewater and water recycling facilities throughout the San Francisco Bay Area. She has worked on local and regional master plans using innovative engineering and institutional solutions to maximize water recycling. Some of her projects include a 7-mgd, 47-mgd peak capacity wastewater treatment facility upgrade for the Novato Sanitary District; a 67-mgd UV disinfection facility for Santa Rosa; pretreatment and solids handling for a new $200-million wastewater treatment plant in San Francisco; and design of a new 120-mgd wastewater treatment plant in Alexandria, Egypt. Marilyn is currently managing development of a regional water program for the Monterey, California area.
